TVS Motors has started operations in Myanmar by opening its first dealership on Monday. The Indian auto maker will offer seven models in Myanmar by sourcing them from their facilities in India and Indonesia.
The company will export the Apache RTR 160, Wego, Scooty Pep+ and the Scooty Streak from their plant in Chennai, while few other m odels like the Neo, Rockz and the Tormax will be exported from Indonesia.
The company is well prepared for the new market and has given extensive training to the dealership personnel in assembly and service procedures. TVS Motors says that the dispatches have already begun and the Myanmar market is giving good response to their products.
TVS is one of the few two-wheeler companies from outside Myanmar to start operations in the South Asian country. Myanmar is slowly becoming business and investment friendly nation after its transition towards democracy from military rule.
