TVS will launch the Ntorq 125 BS6 in India soon. And before it arrives in the market, specifications of its BS6 engine have been revealed.
The Ntorq 125 will continue with its 124cc, 3-valve, air-cooled engine. However, the motor now benefits from a fuel-injection system to comply with the latest emission norms. Interestingly, the BS6 Ntorq 125 produces the same output as the BS4 model; 9.1bhp and 10.5Nm. While power comes in earlier at 7000rpm, peak torque continues to come at 5500rpm.
Furthermore, the new Ntorq 125 also gets a 0.8 litre larger fuel-tank, taking the capacity up to 5.8 litres. And due to the larger tank and changes to its engine, the scooter is now 1.9kg heavier and has a kerb weight of 118kg.
TVS has pegged the BS6 Ntorq with a price tag of Rs 65,975 for the drum brake variant. The disc brake version costs Rs 69,975 and the LED-headlamp fitted Race Edition comes in at Rs 72, 455 (all prices, ex-showroom). Bookings for the Ntorq 125 will commence soon and deliveries will take place a couple of weeks after its official launch in the country.
