TVS has just entered the 125cc scooter space with the launch of the Ntorq 125. This new stylish scooter has been priced at Rs 58,750 (ex-showroom Delhi). It will go against the market leader, the Suzuki Access 125 and the newly introduced Honda Grazia 125. We’re quite excited to ride the Ntorq 125 but unfortunately that won’t happen till the middle of this month. Meanwhile, check out the launch photos of the TVS Ntorq 125.
The Ntorq 125 gets its design inspiration from aircraft. The styling is more on the aggressive lines. The front especially gets a sharp beak that enhances the overall appeal.
The instrument cluster is all digital. It throws plenty of information like speed, odometer, average speed, clock, top speed, lap timer, service and helmet reminder indicators.
The scooter is Bluetooth enabled, making it the first scooter in India to be powered by this technology. Currently, only android phones support this system.
The Ntorq 125 gets multiple riding modes – street and sport. It also shows ride stats, app enabled parking locator, engine kill switch and engine oil temperature.
It is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder 3 valve air-cooled motor that produces 9.3bhp at 7500rpm and peak torque of 10.5Nm at 5500rpm.
The scooter has a top speed of 95kmph. Since this is a performance scooter, no ARAI fuel efficiency claimed figures have been put out.
The braking duties are managed by a 230mm disc in the front and a 130mm drum at the rear. There’s no non-disc brake as of now.
The Ntorq 125 is equipped with a 12V USB charging that is placed under the seat. There’s also a LED light.
Just like the most of the TVS scooters, the Ntorq 125 also gets an external fuel filler cap.
TVS claims that the one of the best aspects of the Ntorq 125 is its exhaust note. It has a strong base and sounds different from the rest in the class.
The Ntorq is available in four colours – yellow, green, red and white.
