TVS Motor Company has launched its premium 125cc scooter, the Ntorq 125 Race Edition in Nepal. The scooter has been priced at NPR 2.46 lakhs, ex-showroom. The company had launched the standard version of the scooter in Nepal in September 2018.
The Ntorq 125 Race Edition comes with a couple of features that differentiate it from the standard model. It features an all-LED headlamp with new LED daytime running lights which gives the scooter a premium appeal. In addition to that, it gets a dedicated hazard lamp switch and a three-tone colour scheme accompanied by ‘Race Edition’ with chequered flag graphics.
In terms of mechanicals, the scooter remains the same. It is powered by a 124.79cc, single-cylinder, three-valve air-cooled motor that punches out 9.1bhp of max power and 10.5Nm of torque. The scooter is suspended by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is employed by a disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear. The scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels shod with road-biased tyres.
In India, TVS retails the Ntorq 125 Race Edition at Rs 63,475, ex-showroom, Delhi. In terms of completion, the 125cc scooter rivals against the likes of the Honda Grazia, Suzuki Burgman Street, Aprilia SR 125 and the recently launched Yamaha Fascino 125.
