TVS has pegged the Ntorq 125 Race Edition at Rs 62,995 (ex-showroom, Delhi). If you are looking for options in the same price bracket, there are four other 125cc scooters to consider. Here’s what the grid looks like-
TVS Ntorq 125
The standard Ntorq 125 costs Rs 3,000 lesser than its Race Edition at Rs 59,995. It is powered by the same 124cc, three-valve engine that produces 9.1bhp and 10.1Nm of torque. The scooters also sport the same Bluetooth-enabled display and same bodywork. However, the standard Ntorq 125 misses out on the LED headlamp and hazard light function along with the TVS Racing inspired graphics.
Honda Grazia
One of the Ntorq 125’s main rivals is the Honda Grazia. It is offered in three variants which cost Rs 61,002 (standard), Rs 62,933 (alloy wheels) and Rs 65,374 (Disc brake). The Grazia is positioned as an upgrade to the Honda Dio that is also aimed at younger buyers. The scooter’s 124cc engine churns out 8.5bhp and 10.5Nm. It sports a sharp styling, full-LED lighting, and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
Honda Activa 125
Honda also offers the Activa 125; a more family-oriented scooter. To complete its purpose, the scooter gets a long seat and a roomy footboard. Moreover, it comes equipped with an array of features that includes LED lighting and semi-digital instrument cluster. It is priced at Rs 60,627 for the drum variant while the disc variant costs Rs 65,012. Honda is also offering the Activa with fuel-injection, ACG starter, and an idle stop-start system. However, it costs Rs 70,990; that is a premium of nearly Rs 7,000 over the carburetor version.
Hero Maestro Edge 125
Another family scooter that you can buy at the price of the Ntorq 125 Race Edition is the Hero Maestro Edge 125. Available in three variants, prices for the scooter start at Rs 59,000 (drum-carburetor) and go up to Rs 63,200 for the Fi version. Apart from the fuel-injected engine, the scooter offers the idle start-stop system which helps conserve fuel, a semi-digital instrument console an external fuel-filler cap and LED DRLs on the front apron. To further jazz up its appeal, Hero is offering the Maestro Edge 125 in six different colour options.
