The colour theme may look similar to the standard Race edition. However, the XP variant gets different graphics and paint combination. Moreover, the new variant of the range also gets red-coloured alloy wheels that further enhance the sporty look of the scooter.
The paint theme on the Race XP variant includes a combination of red, black, and silver. The scooter also features carbon fibre texture across various body panels. The sporty styling is enhanced by red stitching on the saddle further.
The 22-litre under-seat storage benefits from a boot light and a USB-charger.
The new Ntorq 125 Race XP makes more power over the standard variants of the scooter. The 124cc, single-cylinder engine is tuned to produce 10.05bhp of power at 7,000rpm and 10.8Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm on the Race XP model. In comparison, the motor deliver 9.25bhp at 7,000rpm and 10.5Nm at 5,500rpm on the rest of the Ntorq 125 line-up.
TVS Motor Company has also added two riding modes to the Race XP edition – Street and Sport. The numbers are restricted to 9bhp and 10Nm in the Street Mode while the Race Mode offers access to the full power and torque output.
In terms of economy, the scooter returned 48.5kmpl (tested in Street Mode only) in Bikewale’s test runs as against 45.3kmpl on the standard Ntorq 125.
Similar to the rest of the series, the new Ntorq 125 Race XP benefits from a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster. However, the new variant further benefits from a Voice Assist function that packs over 20 commands.
The smartphone app, too, has been upgraded for the Ntorq 125 Race XP variant.
The XP badge brings a price premium of approximately Rs 4,000 over the ex-showroom tag of the standard Race edition.
