TVS recently introduced what can be considered one of the most tech-loaded scooters in India, the Ntorq 125 Race XP edition. And it’s not only more desirable than other 125cc scooters but it also outdoes other variants of the Ntorq 125 in various aspects. Having said that, let’s take a look at the top five differences between the TVS Ntorq 125 Race XP and other versions of the scooter.
Colour and graphics
TVS was already offering a huge palette of colours for the Ntorq 125 and the introduction of the Race XP only add more options to it. The three-tone paint scheme comprising red, white and black is exclusive to the new trim. Meanwhile, the Super Squad edition is also quite distinctive with Marvel’s Avengers-inspired graphics. Including standard and Race editions, the Ntorq 125 is available in a total of 12 different colour schemes.
Updated SmartXonnect feature
The data-extensive LCD console and TVS’ exclusive SmartXonnect system have been updated for Race XP edition, both of which have remained unchanged for other models. What else is new in the XP is the voice assist function which can be used for performing 15 different tasks like changing modes, launching the navigation system and more.
Riding modes
The Race XP edition of the Ntorq 125 comes with two riding modes, something that was never heard of before in scooters in India. Riders have access to Race and Street modes which alter the throttle response and acceleration which also bring along a change in its fuel efficiency.
Performance numbers
The power and torque output is different in the Race XP and other iterations of the TVS Ntorq 125. The 124cc engine of the former is tuned to produce 10bhp and 10.8Nm as against 9.25bhp and 10.5Nm from standard, Race and Super Squad editions.
Price
With more bells and whistles over the rest of the trims, the Ntorq 125 Race XP is obviously the most expensive at Rs 83,275. That makes it Rs 1,000 dearer than the Super Squad edition and more so than the Race, front disc, and drum brake derivatives of the Ntorq.
