TVS Ntorq 125 XT India Launch: What To Expect?

TVS Motor Company has released a teaser image of a new Ntorq 125 variant. Christened as the Ntorq 125 XT, this new version may get a few styling tweaks in the form of refreshed graphics and additional features over the existing variants. Here we tell you what to expect from the upcoming TVS Ntorq 125 XT.

Styling

The teaser image does not reveal many details, however, the silhouette of the new Ntorq 125 XT looks similar to the existing models. Thus, the new Ntorq 125 XT will feature an apron-mounted LED headlight with integrated LED DRLs, a sporty exhaust canister, and a split-style pillion grabrail. A closer inspection reveals a new design for the alloy wheels that looks unlike anything on the existing Ntorq 125 scooters. Apart from the new design for the alloy wheels, the XT variant may also get new colours and graphics to distinguish it from the rest of the range.

Engine

The mechanical specifications are likely to remain identical to the other variants of the Ntorq 125 series. It is to be noted that the Race XP version makes the highest power output, and we may see similar numbers on the new XT variant as well. The 125cc, single-cylinder engine on the Race XP makes 9bhp and 10Nm in Street mode and 10.06bhp and 10.8Nm in Race mode. The motor is linked to a CVT gearbox.

Hardware

The hardware, too, should remain similar to the Race XP. Thus, the suspension tasks on the Ntorq 125 XT will most likely be handled by telescopic front forks and a single rear spring. A front disc brake is clearly visible on the front while the rear should use a drum unit.

Features

The feature list will comprise an LED headlight and an LED taillight. Meanwhile, the instrument cluster should retain the TVS SmartXonnect Bluetooth system with turn-by-turn navigation. Will we see a colour display on this new variant? Seems unlikely at the moment. Further, the safety net will include a combined braking system.

Price

The new Ntorq XT should sit at the top of the variant list to replace the Race XP as the flagship version. The Ntorq 125 Race XP, for reference, is available at Rs 89,211 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
