TVS Racing has announced the dates for its 2018 rider training program for motorcycle enthusiasts. The first TVS training school will be conducted at the MMRT race track in Irungattukottai, Chennai, on 27 January.
TVS will be conducting four training schools this year. The registration fee for each participant is Rs 6,000, which includes the training fee, a TVS Apache RTR200 race-spec motorcycle and riding gear (except helmet). The participants will get a certificate from TVS Racing Training School which makes them eligible to go track racing in India. Each batch will comprise 50 riders, who will be trained by professional racers like K. Jagan , Harry Silvester, Ahamed , S. Kannan and Aishwarya Pissay. Riders can then apply to be a part of the Novice category of TVS One Make Championship.
Today, anyone can compete in the TVS One Make Championship, as long as you fulfil the requirements. FMSCI, India’s motorsport regulatory authority, has made it mandatory for an aspiring motorcycle racer to undergo a training course from a riding school. We were a part of TVS’ training program last year, and found it to be quite different from other riding schools in the country. It not only focuses on how to ride better on the track, but also educates the rider about the other finer aspects and regulations about racing. You can register to be a part of the training school by visiting their official Facebook page.
