The Raid de Himalaya is regarded as one of the toughest motorsport events in India, presenting competitors with grueling terrains in temperatures as low as -15°C. Spanning over 1100 kilometers, the route had altitude variations of between 2000m to 5500m, and took the competitors through some of the highest mountain passes in the world. This year marked the 19th edition of the event. While 52 competitors were flagged off, only 15 managed to inch across the finish line on the sixth day.
