TVS Racing had a successful trip at the 4th round of the MRF MOGRIP National Rally Championship. The team won three of the four races it participated in. The two-day rally was conducted on a mix of dirt and tarmac surfaces in Coimbatore.
The first day included documentation, scrutiny, recce, and riders’ briefing and other formalities. The second day is where all the action began, there was confirmed participation in seven classes that form the National championship. Super Bike (Pro Expert, Group A and Expert), Super Sport 130 Group B, Super Sport 165 Group B, Super Sport 260 Group B, Super Sport 400 Group B, Super Sport 550 Group B and Scooter 210 Group B.
Abdul Wahid Tanveer riding RTR 450 FX won the Super Bike Pro expert class upto 450cc – Group A, Rajendra RE won the Supersport Class upto to 260cc riding RTR 160. TVS Racing also secured first and second in the Group B Scooter class up to 210cc, Syed Asif Ali took first while Madhu S took second. Both riders were riding prepped up TVS Wegos.
Shreya Sunder Iyer, the first woman racer from TVS Racing also participated in her first rally event at Coimbatore.
