The Raid De Himalaya, one of India’s toughest motorcycle rallies, is underway with Tanveer Abdul Wahid leading the way after Leg 3. TVS Racing is in the lead with three of its riders at the top of the leader-board.
R Natraj led the race after Leg 1, followed closely by fellow TVS rider,Tanveer. Sanjay Kumar, a privateer, impressed every one with his pace, finishing amongst the top three at the end of Leg 1. Tanveer, trying hard to cut down the gap, wasn’t able to make any inroads with Natraj adding six seconds in the second leg.
Leg 3 saw the end of Sanjay Kumar’s challenge as he retired from the race. Meanwhile, Tanveer found his pace and managed to edge past R Natraj, opening up a 4-minute lead over the previous leader. Rajendra RE scooped up the third spot after Sanjay retired. TVS factory’s female rider, AishwaryaPissay scaled up to eighth position after finishing 17th in SS1.
