- Reached milestone within seven months since launch
- First motorcycle in the segment to feature Synchronised Braking Technology
TVS Motor Company had launched the Radeon in August 2018. Barely seven months since the introduction of the new commuter offering, the motorcycle has managed to cross the 1 lakh sales milestone.
The Radeon is TVS’ answer to Hero’s segment leader Splendor. Powered by a 109.7cc Dura-Life motor, the Radeon puts out 8.2bhp and 8.7Nm and comes mated to a four-speed gearbox. The engine has been designed to offer an optimum combination of power and fuel economy, as per the company. The Radeon comes with a 10-litre fuel tank and is claimed by the manufacturer to return a fuel economy of 69.3 kmpl.
The Radeon is built around a steel tubular chassis sporting a conventional design but with a healthy dose of chrome highlights. It gets a classic looking instrument console with a chrome bezel, ribbed thigh pads, chrome engine guard and a large seat. The motorcycle also comes with a chrome bezel for the headlamp with LED DRLs, large 18-inch wheels and USB charging. TVS has equipped the Radeon with Synchronised Braking Technology (SBT) that applies the front brake during the application of the rear, thus improving braking performance and a shorter stopping distance.
TVS offer the Radeon with a five-year warranty and is available with the choice of four colours white, beige, purple and black.
