TVS recently launched the Radeon in a celebratory special edition. It comes with a few changes that help distinguish itself from the standard version. Here we bring to you four features of the TVS Radeon Special Edition.
Cosmetic tweaks
The Radeon Special Edition isn’t different in terms of design and continues to sport minimal bodywork. However, TVS has given it a few cosmetic elements to set it apart. It gets a redesigned thigh grip for additional support, new petrol tank cushion with an ‘R’ emblem, new set of decals along with chrome rear-view mirrors, carburetor cover and metallic levers.
New colour options
The standard Radeon is offered in six colour options- white, black, beige, red, grey and purple. Meanwhile, TVS is offering the Radeon Special Edition in two colour schemes of ‘Chrome Black’ and ‘Chrome Brown’.
Two variants
The Radeon Special Edition is available in two variants that differentiate themselves by the braking hardware. While one comes with a drum brake setup on both ends similar to the current setup, the other offers a disc brake at the front. Both options get a CBS (Combined Braking System) as standard. Meanwhile, suspension duties are done by telescopic forks upfront and a dual-shock setup at the rear.
Pricing
The drum brake version of the Radeon Special Edition is priced at Rs 52,720 while the disc brake variant costs Rs 54,820. In comparison to the standard model which is pegged at Rs 50,820, the Special Editions demand a premium of Rs 1,900 and Rs 4,000 respectively. (Prices ex-showroom)
