TVS has silently launched the most affordable variant of the Raider 125. The bike is now offered in a drum brake setup, at both ends and it sits under the single-disc trim. The asking price for the Raider 125 Drum is set at Rs. 84,469 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
TVS offers the Raider 125 Drum in two paint schemes - Striking Red and Wicked Black. It gets the same design and overall appearance as the other variants but the hardware varies, as mentioned above. Meanwhile, the features list on the bike includes an LED headlight, an LCD and ride modes.
Powering the TVS Raider 125 Drum is the same 124.8cc, air-cooled engine. It makes 11.2bhp at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm at 6,000rpm and comes with a five-speed gearbox. The bike rides on telescopic front forks and a monoshock. This is the base model and comes with a single-piece seat.
The TVS Raider has been a fairly popular model in the commuter segment of motorcycles for various reasons. It meets the pricing demand and offers a mix of youthfulness, practicality, and frugality. In the 125cc class, the TVS Raider rivals the Hero Xtreme 125R. And now with the launch of the Drum brake variant, the brand should also be able to cater to an even wider range of audience, especially the ones looking for something affordable.
