TVS Raider Racing Special Edition: Details Explained

- Available in California Grey colour

- Uses carburettor system

- Gets additional equipment over the standard model

TVS Motor Company has introduced the Raider Racing Special Edition in the Colombian market, and this variant of the 125cc premium commuter motorcycle gets several styling upgrades over the standard model. Although it may arrive in India, its launch details are not available yet. Meanwhile, here we explain the top details about the new TVS Raider Racing Special Edition.

What styling changes does the new TVS Raider Racing Special Edition get?

This special edition of the TVS Raider retains the design of the standard model. However, it gets a special paint theme that includes a California Grey colour. The headlight mask, front fender, fuel tank, and engine cowl feature a white colour, while the alloy wheels are painted red. TVS Motor Company has also added handlebar guards, an engine crash guard, calliper protectors, and a phone holder to this variant. Meanwhile, it retains the single-pod headlight with integrated DRLs, fuel tank shrouds, a split-style seat, a single-piece pillion grabrail, and a side-slung exhaust.

What are the mechanical specifications of the new TVS Raider Racing Special Edition?

Apart from the styling and feature upgrades mentioned above, the Raider Racing Special Edition also benefits from mechanical upgrades. This variant retains the same 124.79cc, single-cylinder engine as the standard model. However, the output is rated at 12.5bhp and 11.5Nm, which is 1.3bhp and 0.3Nm higher than the India-spec model. Notably, the Colombia-spec model uses a carburettor system as against the fuel-injection setup on the India-spec motorcycle. This motor is linked to a five-speed gearbox.

What features does the new TVS Raider Racing Special Edition get?

The feature list is similar to the highest-spec TVS Raider that is sold in India. Thus, this variant also benefits from an LED headlight, an LED taillight, a USB charger, and a Bluetooth-enabled TFT display. The console on this variant displays a speedometer, trip meter, odometer, fuel level readout, gear position indicator, and tachometer.

The braking setup includes a 240mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum unit at the back. This variant rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that are shod in 80/100-section front and 100/90-section rear tubeless tyres. Other key dimensions include a 781mm of seat height and 113.6kg of kerb weight.
