TVS Motor Company clocked a sales growth of 11 per cent during the month of June 2016, with total sales increasing from 2,22,017 units recorded in June 2015 to 2,47,085 units in June this year.
Consisting of top sellers like the new Victor and the Apache range, there was an increase of 13.8 per cent in motorcycle sales from 2,10,920 units recorded in June 2015 to 2,39,957 units in June 2016. Domestic bike sales grew by 16.4 per cent increasing from 1,77,687 units in June 2015 to 2,06,784 units in June 2016.
Scooters sales of the company grew by 10.3 per cent increasing from 61,215 units in June 2015 to 67,539 units in June 2016. Motorcycles sales grew by 7.6 per cent increasing from 88,690 units in the June 2015 to 95,465 units in June 2016. Jupiter leading the batch followed by the Wego and the Pep.
In terms of exports, the company saw a drop in exports for June 2016 with a drop of around 50 units compared to figure of June 2015. To read more about how the Wego lost out in sales for May 2016, click here.
