- Production resumed at Hosur, Mysuru and Nalagarh factories
- TVS is witnessing a positive uptake in domestic and export sales

TVS Motor Company has reported its sales numbers for June 2020. The Hosur based two-wheeler manufacturer sold 1,98,387 units (two- and three-wheelers) in the last month as against 2,97,102 units in the corresponding month in 2019.
The company resumed its production operations at its factories in Hosur, Mysuru and Nalagarh in a phased manner. TVS said in a press statement that the market is opening up gradually post the lockdown, and the company is witnessing a positive uptake in both domestic retail as well as exports.
The company further added in the statement that even though it faced supply chain constraints in June, it has undertaken various countermeasures, some of which started yielding results in June itself. TVS is expecting to overcome these in July.
The company sold 1,91,076 two-wheelers in June 2020 as against 2,83,461 units in June 2019. The domestic market recorded 1,44,817 unit sales in June 2020 as against 2,26,279 units during the corresponding month last year.
Motorcycles contributed 84,401 units to the overall sales in June 2020 as against 1,31,331 units in June 2019. Scooter sales, too, witnessed negative growth as the company registered 65,666 unit sales in June 2020 as against 99,007 units in June 2019. During the same period, TVS exported 46,259 two-wheelers as against 57,182 units in June 2019.
Three-wheeler sales stood at 7,311 units in June 2020 as against 13,641 units in June 2019.
