TVS had launched the Wego in a new syncing brake system-equipped variant a few months ago. Thanks to the popularity of this new model, the company has now discontinued the other two variants of the 110cc scooter.
The syncing brake system (SBS) is TVS’ version of the combi braking system. This safety feature automatically activates the front brakes whenever the rear brakes are pulled, thereby improving the braking performance. This feature not only helps novice riders, but also improves the ease of use in cities. Apart from the addition of SBS, this Wego variant is mechanically and cosmetically identical to the other variants.
While a few TVS dealers still have existing stock of the disc brake and standard drum brake variants, the ones who have exhausted their reserve have stopped accepting orders of these variants. The Wego SBS was priced right in between the standard and the disc brake variant, though the leverage of SBS seems to have appealed to customers. The TVS Wego rivals the Honda Activa, Suzuki Let’s and the Yamaha Ray-Z.
