TVS registered a 2 per cent growth in domestic sales for August 2018. The manufacturer sold 2.75 lakh units last month as against 2.70 lakh units in August 2017.
It sold 1.31 lakh units last month compared to the 1.11 lakh motorcycles sold in the same period last year, posting an 18 per cent growth. Scooter sales increased by 11 per cent with 1.26 lakh units sold in August 2018 as compared to 1.14 lakh scooters sold in August 2017.
Total two-wheeler exports grew by 41 per cent from 38,602 units in August last year to 54,388 units last month. In total, sales for TVS increased by 7 per cent with 3.3 lakh units last month. The manufacturer had sold 3.09 lakh units in the same month last year.
Majority of TVS sales comes from its motorcycle range, especially the Apache RTR series. The manufacturer also recently launched a 110cc commuter motorcycle called the Radeon at Rs 48,400.
