- Domestic sales experienced a drop of 6.59 per cent
- Two-wheeler exports grew by 25 per cent
- Annual two-wheeler sales grew by 3.9 lakhs with a growth of 12 per cent
TVS Motor Company has announced its two-wheeler sales reports for the month of March 2019. The company managed to sell a total of 3,01,901 units as compared to 315,773 units in the corresponding month last year, thus registering a drop of 1.54 per cent.
In domestic sales, two-wheelers racked up 2,47,710 units in March 2019 as compared to 2,65,174 units in March 2018 with a fall of 6.56 per cent. In the case of motorcycles, the numbers stood at 1,34,420 units in March 2019 as opposed to 1,41,086 units in the same month last year, thereby registering a 5 per cent growth. However, scooter sales stood at 98,477 units in March 2019 against 100,972 units in March 2018 with a drop of 2.67 per cent.
For exports, TVS managed to register a growth of 25 per cent by selling 63,191 units in March 2019 as compared to 50,599 units in corresponding last year. Judging by the sales figures for the financial year of 2018-19, TVS grew by 12 per cent with 37.57 lakh units from the 33.67 lakh units registered in the financial year 2017-18.
