TVS Motor Company has introduced the Ronin in the Indian market to rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. What are the specifications and fuel economy of the TVS Ronin?
The Ronin is powered by a 225cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine with four valves. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, this motor delivers a maximum output of 20.1bhp and a peak torque of 19.93Nm at. TVS claims a top speed of 120kmph for the Ronin. During our fuel economy test, the TVS Ronin returned a figure of 42kmpl. This fuel economy figure, along with a 14-litre fuel tank, gives the Ronin a range of 590km. In comparison, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 returned a fuel economy of 36.22kmpl in the same test.
What are the colour options available for the TVS Ronin?
The TVS Ronin is currently offered in three variants and six colour options. The single-tone version is available in Magma Red and Lightning Black paint themes. The dual-tone version is listed in Delta Blue and Stargaze Black options, while the triple-tone variant is available in Galactic Grey and Dawn Orange paint options. The styling cues across all variants include a round shape for the headlight with T-shaped LED DRL, an asymmetrically-mounted instrument cluster, a bulbous fuel tank, a flat seat, and a side-slung exhaust with a dual-tone finish.
What are the variants, prices, and rivals of the TVS Ronin?
This TVS motorcycle, as mentioned above, is available in three variants – SS, DS, and TD. The feature list across all three variants includes full-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, two ride modes, and an assist and slipper clutch mechanism. The range-topping TD variant further benefits from additional features such as Bluetooth connectivity, dual-channel ABS, and adjustable levers. The Bluetooth module brings features such as voice assist, turn-by-turn navigation, estimated time of arrival, call alerts, and ride analytics to the motorcycle. The base (SS) variant is priced at Rs. 1,49,000, while the DS and TD versions are priced at Rs. 1,56,500 and Rs. 1,68,750, respectively.
