-Was priced at Rs 1.49 lakh
-Price cut applicable on the base, SS variant only
-Powered by a 225.9cc engine
The TVS Ronin has received a price cut as part of the festive season offers. The Ronin SS, which is the base variant, is priced at Rs 1.35 lakh, ex-showroom. That makes it cheaper by Rs 14,000 and helps raise its value quotient. One must note that the price reduction is only applicable to the base variant only.
Despite the price cut, TVS has not made any changes to the design or features list of the Ronin SS. It gets an LED headlight, with an inset DRL, LED tail light and a single-pod LCD with Bluetooth connectivity.
The frame of the bike is suspended by a USD fork and monoshock. With this being the base variant, it doesn’t get the gold-coloured USD as on the top variant. It also has a monotone colour instead of the dual-tone colour on the higher-spec bike.
The TVS Ronin is powered by a 225.9cc, air and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine. It makes 20.1 bhp and 19.93 Nm and is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
The engine is known for its peppy nature while the Ronin’s ride and handling is in a class of its own. The only challenge that TVS Ronin faces is its polarising design which people either like or dislike.
In terms of competition, the TVS Ronin goes up against the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 which is priced at Rs 1.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
