With the TVS Ronin images leaked ahead of its official launch, quite a few details of the new offering are now revealed. From its design to the powertrain, let’s see what we expect from the bike.
Styling
The leaked images have revealed that the TVS Ronin gets a neo-retro styling. Its round headlight gets a T-shaped LED unit. The overall design gets a dash of old-school bits like the ribbed single seat with a tube-like grab-rail for the pillion. Fair to say, TVS has taken a scrambler-like approach to Ronin's design.
Motor
It’s likely to draw power from a 223cc single-cylinder motor which is expected to dish out 20bhp and 20Nm. It could be mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Features
Apart from LED illumination, TVS is likely to equip the Ronin with a fully digital round instrument cluster, similar to the one we see on the Ducati Scrambler. You can also expect it to feature TVS SmartXonnect Bluetooth as well. For the safety net, TVS will probably offer dual-channel ABS.
Underpinnings
TVS Ronin rides on USD forks and monoshock setup while the braking hardware comprises a single disc set up at both ends. It gets alloy wheels wrapped in dual-purpose rubber.
Price
TVS could price the Ronin between Rs 1.45 -1.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This will place it perfectly between the Apache RTR 200 4V and the Apache RR 310.
