- New TVS RTR 310 to be launched today
- Will get sharp, aggressive design
- Based on BMW G310R
TVS is going to launch its most awaited motorcycle of 2023 in just a matter of a few hours. This bike will be called the TVS Apache RTR 310 and it is based on the BMW G310R.
The brand released a teaser picture of this motorcycle just yesterday, 5 September. The teaser mainly showed the overall silhouette of the bike, along with the full LED lights. Over the last few days, the number of teasers has increased, revealing several details of the new RTR 310.
This new TVS will be built around a steel trellis frame, similar to the RR 310, but the rear subframe differs. It will powered by the same 312.2cc, reverse-inclined, liquid-cooled motor that powers the Apache RR 310. The single-cylinder, four-valve mill will likely produce 34bhp and 27Nm of peak torque. It will be paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch.
Most of the internals will be shared with the RR 310 to keep the costs in check. It will ride on 43mm USD front forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock. Meanwhile, the braking hardware will likely comprise disc brakes at both ends, along with dual-channel ABS as a part of the safety net. However, the teaser videos and spy photos have revealed that the TVS Apache RTR 310 will feature a different design for the alloy wheels than that of the RR 310.
Once launched, the TVS RTR 310 will compete against the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G310R, and the Honda CB300R. This bike will come in many exciting colours, which is bound to bring much attention from fellow motorcyclists. We are expecting a starting price of around Rs. 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom) and this will most likely be the introductory one.
