- New RTS X Supermoto concept revealed
- Gets a new 299cc engine
- Production variant launch likely next year
TVS has unveiled yet another concept at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. It is called the RTS X Concept and it is powered by a new 300cc engine.
From the pictures, it is clear that the RTS X is based on the RTR 310 platform, however, it gets a different bodywork. The bike looks really good, especially from the front, thanks to the presence of a sharp headlight unit and mudguard. The seat is single and quite long, with the tail section having a minimalistic styling. The subframe looks new and has been painted full white. TVS has used the yellow and white paint scheme on this concept.
In terms of performance, the RTS X is powered by the new 299cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces around 35bhp at 9000rpm and peak torque of 28.5Nm at 7000rpm. This motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox and offers a bi-directional quickshifter. TVS claims that this concept bike can do 0-60kmph in 2.8 seconds and 0-100kmph in 6.3 seconds.
With a kerb weight of 144kg, this supermoto should be fun to ride when it goes into production. However, the seat height stands at 875mm which is quite tall. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels on both sides. There’s a pair of 43mm USD forks up front and a monoshock at the rear.
As of now, TVS hasn’t confirmed if the RTS X will go into production, but if the KTM 390 SMC R manages to gain traction in India, TVS will enter the supermoto segment with the RTS X.
