TVS Motor Company has continued to maintain its growth path by recording a 32 per cent jump in domestic two-wheeler sales in January 2018 as compared to the corresponding month in 2017.
TVS sold 2.26 lakh two-wheelers in the last month as compared to 1.72 lakh units in January 2017. Of these, 85,521 units were of its scooter range. This reflects a 22 per cent jump in demand for TVS scooters in our country. The motorcycle sales, on the other hand, jumped by a whopping 64 per cent. TVS sold 98,649 motorcycles in the last month as compared to 60,275 motorcycles in January 2017. There seems to be an increase in demand in overseas markets too. The Jupiter and the XL100 continue to rule the roost as the highest selling models in the TVS range. Among the motorcycles, the Apache range enjoys the highest demand. Next week, TVS will be showcasing its new premium scooter at the 2018 Auto Expo, expected to be christened as the Ntorq 125.
