TVS Motor Company has reported a 36 per cent increase in overall two-wheelers sales in November 2014 . The company sold 2,10,979 units in November as compared to 1,55,604 units in the same month last year.
The company’s scooter segment grew by 62 per cent, where it managed to sell 62,223 units last month as compared to 38,331 units in the corresponding month last year. On the other hand, the motorcycle sales increased by 41 per cent, where it sold 86, 424 units. Last year in the same month, the Hosur- based manufacturer sold 61,471 units. Two wheeler exports grew by 55 per cent with sales increasing from 20,386 units in November 2013 to 31,526 units in November 2014.
With a very good product portfolio and strong festive demand, TVS was able to achieve such strong sales. The company has postponed the launch of the new Victor to December, as it didn’t want the success of one product to overlap the launch of the other. After the Victor launch, the company is expected to launch the new Apache.
