- TVS sold 3.07 lakh units in March
- Export numbers drop significantly
- iQube electric scooter witnessed 754 per cent growth
TVS Motor Company has witnessed a 5 per cent increase in sales numbers for March 2023.
The Hosur based manufacturer sold 3.07 lakh motorcycles and scooters last month as opposed to the 2.92 lakh sales it registered in March 2022. Now, out of that number, TVS managed to sell 2.40 lakh units in India; an increase of 22 per cent from the 1.96 lakh two-wheelers it sold in the same month last year.
That said, exports in March contributed to 66,779 unit sales. When compared to the 95,962 motorcycles and scooters sold overseas in March 2022, it is a significant drop. Well, motorcycles like the Apache series, Raider and Ronin contributed to 1.41 lakh sales; a decline from 1.60 lakh in March 2022. However, scooter sales increased from 94,747 last year to 1.28 lakh in March 2023.
Speaking of scooter sales, the TVS iQube witnessed a huge increase in sales last month. The company managed to sell 15,634 units of the electric scooter as against the 1,799 units sold in 2022.
