TVS has revealed the pricing of the BS6-compliant Pep Plus in India. Here we list out the top five highlights of the BS6 model that set it apart from the BS4 model.
Three variants TVS is offering the Scooty Pep Plus BS6 in three variants similar to the BS4 model. It is available in a standard version, Babelicious series and Matte Edition.
Pricing
The pricing for the Scooty Pep Plus BS6 starts at Rs 51,574 for the base version. This is an increase of Rs 6,700 over the BS4 model. On the other hand, the other two variants cost Rs 52,954; a premium of Rs 6,400 over the BS4 variants. (all prices ex-showroom).
Colours
The Scooty Pep Plus BS6 is offered in a choice of seven colours- Aqua Matte, Coral Matte, Revving Red, Glittery Gold, Frosted Black, Nero Blue, and Princess Pink.
Engine
While TVS hasn’t updated the technical specifications, we expect the 87.8cc engine to come with a fuel-injection system. The BS4 motor puts out 5bhp of power and 5.8Nm of torque. However, the BS6 model is likely to see a drop in power.
Cycle parts
The BS6 version of the Scooty Pep Plus continues to ride on 10-inch wheels suspended from telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock at the rear. It comes with 110mm drum brakes at both ends with TVS’ SBT (Sync Braking Technology). While the kerb weight on the BS4 model is listed at 95kg, the BS6 version is likely to be at least 1kg heavier. Nevertheless, the Scooty Pep Plus is the lightest scooter available in the market. It also offers a low seat height to make it even more accessible to women riders.
