TVS Motor Company has registered a sale of 2.77 lakh motorcycles and scooters for August 2020.
In comparison, the company sold a total of 2.75 lakh units in August 2019. As for the domestic market, TVS has announced a sale of 2.18 lakh last month; slightly lower than the company’s August 2019’s sale of 2.19 lakh. Meanwhile, exports contributed to 58,888 units in August 2020 as compared to the 56,323 units in the same period last year.
Out of the total figure, TVS motorcycles accounted for 1.19 lakh sales in August 2020; an increase as compared to the 1.09 lakh units sold in August 2019. On the other hand, TVS sold 87,044 scooters last month as compared to 1.09 lakh units in the same month last year.
TVS recently hiked the prices of most of its BS6 lineup in the country and also launched the disc brake variant of the Jupiter ZX.
