TVS Sherco riders Joan Pedrero and Adrien Metge have retained the first and second position through the third stage of the PanAfrica Rally. CS Santosh meanwhile, broke into the top 10, finishing in the 8th position.
The third stage was a 188 kilometre stage, which took the competitors through Ardouine. Both Joan and Adrien maintained their positions from the stage 2, though Joan has now extended his lead from a mere 40 seconds to 3 minutes and 10 seconds. While Aravind KP had finished 9th in the previous stage, his ranking dropped to 19th in the 3rd stage. Joan and Adrien continue to hold the first and second spot in the overall rankings, while CS Santosh has climbed to the 10th position overall.
CS Santosh’s Hero Speedbrain team mate, Oriol Mena, who had been plagued with mechanical problems so far, finished in the 3rd position. Joaquin Rodrigues failed to finish in the top 10, which saw his overall ranking drop from the 5th to the 8th. The 4th stage of PanAfrica Rally will take the competitors through Erfoud. With a competitive section of 257 kilometres, this will be the longest stage of this endurance rally.
