Hosur-based TVS Motor Company has registered its name yet again in the record books, this time with TVS Sport motorcycle for achieving the title of ‘Highest Fuel efficiency delivered by a motorcycle on the Golden Quadrilateral’. As the title suggests, the TVS Sport was ridden across the ‘Golden Quadrilateral’ which connects India’s four major metros viz. Delhi in the north; Kolkata in the east; Mumbai in the west and Chennai in the south. The record has been registered in the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records.
The motorcycle was ridden by Pavitra Patro who rode the TVS Sport for a total of 6,377 kms wherein he traversed over tough terrains including the surge of monsoon across the country. The TVS Sport managed to return a significant on-road mileage of 76.4 kmpl. Pavitra started the journey on 31 July and completed this record ride on 19 August over a span of 20 days.
The TVS Sport is a commuter motorcycle powered by a 100cc frugal motor with TVS’ Duralife technology. According to the brand, the TVS Sport is the only motorcycle in its segment to feature Econometer feature. The motorcycle also comes with a five-step adjustable shock absorbers, which allows adjustment of suspension according to the rider’s requirement to attain a comfortable ride. The bike also comes with a 5-year warranty. The TVS Sport is available in eight colour shades namely, Black Silver, Indigo Streak, Titanium grey, Mercury Grey, Blaze red, Volcano red, White red and Dazzling White.
