- TVS hikes prices of the Star City Plus
- Rs 1000 more expensive than before
- Remains unaltered in other areas
TVS has recently increased the prices of its premium 110cc commuter offering, the Star City Plus, in India. It is available in a drum and a disc brake variant both of which have received a price hike of Rs 1,000. Now, the Star City Plus drum brake trim costs Rs 66,865 while the front disc version sets you back by Rs 69,465 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
TVS has bestowed the Star City Plus with subtle yet multiple updates over the last year. With the BS6 transition, it received minor styling and feature updates, besides the mandatory engine revisions. This was followed by the addition of a front disc brake and a new Pearl Blue-Silver colour option last month.
Features available in the Star City Plus include a full-LED headlamp, a semi-digital instrument cluster and a USB mobile charger. Last year, TVS also incorporated a five-step adjustable shock absorber. Powering the bike is a 109.7cc, air-cooled engine that makes 8.08bhp of power and 8.7Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a four-speed gearbox.
Considering its displacement and purpose, the TVS Star City Plus locks horns with the Hero Splendor iSmart 110, Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear, and the Honda Livo.
