TVS’ new commuter motorcycle, the Start City+ may be launched tomorrow for the Indian market. The bike was first showcased at the Auto Expo this year which gained decent attraction.
The Star City+ is built on the same platform as the Phoenix 125 but it gets its heart from a 110cc engine. This mill also powers the Wego and the Jupiter scooters, but for the Star City+, TVS engineers have tweaked the engine for better power and torque. The power figures have been marginally increased to 8.3bhp at 7000rpm and 8.7Nm at 5000rpm. This engine is mated to a four-speed gearbox that transfers power to the rear wheel via a covered chain drive.
Cosmetically, the Star City+ looks more than decent but not as attractive as the Phoenix 125. It gets a semi-digital instrument cluster, electric start, alloy wheels, power and economy mode and service due indicator.
Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you the on-road price of the TVS Start City+
