TVS Racing took the podium at the 2017 Gulf Monsoon Scooter Autocross, India’s only scooter event. Syed Asif Ali, took the first spot. His teammates, Imran Pasha and Aakash Satpute took the second and third spot respectively in the scooters up to 210cc class.
Pinkesh Thakkur finished first in the scooters under 110 two-stroke category, followed by Ghazi Khan and Yasir Ishaq. In the scooters under the 110cc four-stroke category, Venkatesh Shetty took the trophy home. The second and third spot were taken by Yasir Ishaq and Naseer Ahmed respectively. Muzaffir Ali from Bhopal came first in the scooters up to 160cc four-stroke category. Pinkesh Thakkar and Venkatesh Shetty took the next two spots. All of them were riding the Aprilia SR 150.
In the ladies categories, up to 210cc two & four stroke open class, Nidhi Shukla came first on her Aprilia SR 150, followed by Gurumail Kaur in the TVS Jupiter. Aiysha Asla from Bhopal came third on her Aprilia SR 150. The award for the fastest lady rider of the day across all classes went to Nidhi Shukla and Syed Asif Ali took home the same award in the men’s category.
