TVS Motors product planning department seems to have come up with a plan to resurrect the Victor name. It is one of the successful products of the Chennai-based company. At the Auto Expo, they will be showcasing two new concepts indicating the future direction of the company. Apart from the two new concepts, the company will also show a couple of all-new production-ready models.
While there is a strong chance of one being the new-age Victor, the other might either be an upgraded Jive or the scooterette. The Jive has been spotted testing near ARAI indicating its production ready.
The 110cc Victor was a strong product in TVS’s line-up in India and the upcoming bike might stick to the essence of the old one too. The Jive which uses clutchless transmission setup did offer some peace of mind but lacked top-end power, we might wait to see what it comes out like.
Though TVS has declined to talk about their association with BMW they have confirmed that they won’t be giving any leads on the motorcycle jointly developed with the German company. The tie-up with BMW might yield a new motorcycle that might come in 2015.
