- Is likely to be a sporty commuter
- Expected to be priced around Rs 95,000
- Will compete against the Hero Glamour X-Tec and Honda SP125
TVS Motor Company is scheduled to launch a new 125cc motorcycle in India tomorrow. The company has also released teaser videos revealing a few details.
By the looks of it, the motorcycle gets a sporty design with cues from the TVS Draken concept. There is the aggressive-looking LED headlamp, flaired tank shrouds, split-seat setup with a seemingly large grab rail. It also provides a glance at the 3D TVS logo on the dual-tone fuel tank, and the four colour options – Red, Blue, Yellow, and Black.
The upcoming TVS motorcycle will come with a fully digital instrument cluster that displays a tachometer, gear position indicator, speedometer, fuel gauge, as well as a clock. The display may also recommend up/down shifting for optimum performance and have other features like a Eco and Power indicator.
While the teaser videos have revealed quite a bit of information about the feature list, there is little information about its engine. However, we expect the motorcycle to come powered by a 124cc engine derived from the Ntorq 125. The motor on the Ntorq 125 churns out 9.3bhp and 10.5Nm.
Now, for pricing, we expect it to be priced around Rs 90,000 and compete against the Hero Glamour X-Tec, Honda SP125 and even possibly the Bajaj Pulsar NS125.
