- New TVS EV to be launched soon
- Could be the XL electric
- Jupiter Electric is under development
TVS is planning to expand its electric two-wheeler portfolio in India this year and launch a new model by March 2025.
This development was confirmed at an investor’s call where the top honcho of the company talked about their EV plans. For now, the company is selling the iQube in multiple variants and it has been quite a success in India. It also launched the X sports electric scooter but didn’t commence delivery due to major issues with the product. The TVS X could have helped the company bring in a lot more people into the showrooms as it was a good-looking product.
According to our sources, the Hosur-based company is working on a range of electric scooters. In fact, work on an electric motorcycle has also started. But this upcoming product is likely to be in the affordable segment. It could either launch an electric version of the Jupiter or introduce the XL electric that will work well in the B2B segment. The company has trademarked two names for it – XL EV and E-XL.
TVS is likely to unveil this new EV at the upcoming 2025 Bharat Expo show, followed by an official launch by March 2025.
