TVS is going to offer ABS only on the carburetted version of the Apache RTR 200 4V. Prices for the motorcycle will start at Rs 1.08 lakhs, ex-showroom.
The MAB100 HECU ABS on the Apache RTR 200 4V is a dual-channel system with rear wheel lift protection. If the sensors detect that the rear wheel is about to lift up under braking, the ABS system adjusts the pressure in the front brake to get the rear wheel back on the ground. The brake setup consists of 270mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear. As for the tyres, the ABS version can be specified with either the TVS Remora or stickier Pirelli tyres. The Pirelli setup consists of Sport Demon at the front and an Angel GT at the rear.
Powering the Apache RTR 200 4V ABS is the carburetted 198cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine. It delivers 20.4bhp and 18Nm of torque through a five-speed transmission. The Apache RTR 200 4V ABS is available in two colours – white and black. Once launched, it will be the third variant of the bike, after the standard and Fi variants.
