TVS sold 2,41,007 two-wheelers in April 2017 in contrast to the 2,22,350 units in the corresponding month last year. This translates into an 8.4 per cent hike in domestic as well as export sales combined.
Sales in domestic two-wheeler went up by four per cent from 1,97,692 units in April 2016 to 2,05,522 units in April 2017. TVS Scooter sales have also gone up by 28.6 per cent, up from 63,341 units in April 2016 to 81,443 units sold last month. TVS two-wheeler exports show a growth of 43.9 per cent as well, from 24,658 units in April 2016 to 35,485 units April 2017.
XL Super moped and Jupiter are the leading contributors in sales figures for TVS, followed by Apache in the third place. With the addition of the Apache RR310S (previously known as the Akula) by July, the sales of Apache family are expected to go up.
