Just yesterday we talked about TVS’ plan to showcase three concept two-wheelers for the 2018 Auto Expo and we were right. TVS has just unveiled their cruiser concept, the Zeppelin.
The Zeppelin is being positioned as a performance motorcycle but with styling that begs for attention. The cruiser gets a sleek body and a stance that reminds us of power cruisers like the Ducati Diavel. The fork tubes have been painted golden, so that the cruiser looks more premium. The headlamp is compact enhancing the overall appeal of the bike.
Powering this cruiser is a 220cc liquid-cooled motor. Unfortunately, TVS hasn’t revealed the power figures of this motor. But they did mention that this motor is coupled to TVS patented technology, an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG). ISG comes with an e-boost option that allows for faster acceleration and pick up by giving it a boost. This helps the bike churn out the nest performance and class leading fuel efficiency. The bike also gets a 1200W regenerative assist motor with 48V Li-ION battery that further adds to the performance.
In terms of features, the Zeppelin is loaded with 41mm USD front forks, monoshock at the rear, dual-channel ABS and LED lighting system. It also has bio-key electronic speedometer and online connectivity. But the most interesting aspect of this bike is its HD action camera that is integrated to the bike.
A lot of Indian manufacturers are focusing on cruiser space and TVS has joined the bandwagon by showing this concept. We’re expecting the Zeppelin to hit the production line in two years, but expect most of the features to be trimmed down.
