It’s no secret that TVS is prepping to enter the world of 125cc scooters. The company has been extensively testing its prototypes in the last few months and once again, a fully camouflaged scooter was shot on camera.
But with these new pictures, things have got very interesting. This prototype looks different from the other test mules that were being previously tested on the road. This mule wears a sharper and modern body panels, making us believe that the Hosur-based manufacturer is lining up two scooter models for the India market.
While one of the scooters will definitely be a 125cc scooter, the recently caught prototype could be that of a higher capacity or just another 125cc model. The spied scooter sports a large LCD screen and an additional switch on the right switchgear which could be used to turn on the LED pilot lamp. There’s another switch above the pilot lamp which we think could be used as a hazard lamp switch.
The scooter also sports external fuel filler cap, just like the Jupiter. The turn indicators get the traditional bulbs, but the taillight get LED treatment. The scooter is also equipped with disc brake at the front, different wheel design and a bulky exhaust.
We’re expecting TVS to showcase their new scooters at the 2018 Auto Expo. TVS hasn’t publicly revealed its 125cc scooter plans, but if trends are to be believed, that’s the obvious step up.
