- Launch details officially confirmed
- To be launched very soon
- Will most likely carry a price premium over the BS4 versions
TVS Motor Company recently shared a list of its BS6 compliant motorcycles and scooters. The list named all BS6 models along with their respective prices. The same announcement also confirmed that the Hosur-based two-wheeler brand will soon launch the BS6-compliant Zest 110 scooter and the Victor commuter motorcycle in the Indian market.
The BS6-compliant Zest 110 has been teased already on the company’s website while the Victor is listed in BS4 form. We expect to head more details once the country-wide lockdown relaxes further.
The updated iteration of the Zest 110, similar to its predecessor, should be available in two versions – Himalayan Highs and Matte series. We do not expect to see major changes to the design of the vehicle. The 109cc engine, on the other hand, will get mechanical revisions to comply with the BS6-emission norms. We could see a marginal drop in power output with the BS6 transition. The BS4 model, for reference, was tuned to produce 7.8bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 8.4Nm of torque at 5,500rpm.
The BS6 Victor, too, should retain the styling of the BS4 motorcycle. TVS already has a BS6-compliant 110cc engine that currently powers the latest iterations of the Star City+, Sport and Radeon. The BS6 compliant 109.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine makes 8.08bhp of peak power at 7,350rpm and 8.4Nm of maximum torque at 4,500rpm. Expect to see similar figures on the Victor BS6.
The updated variants of the Zest 110 and the Victor will carry a price premium over their respective BS4 iterations. The Zest 110 BS4 was available from Rs 52,525 while the prices for the Victor BS4 series started from Rs 56,622 onwards – both ex-showroom Delhi.
