TVS has announced that sales of the Victor have crossed the one lakh mark since it was launched here nine months ago.
The TVS Victor was reintroduced in India after a gap of eight years to strengthen the company’s hold in the commuter segment. Motorcycles from this commuter segment are responsible for generating volumes for manufacturers and hence play a major role in deciding the company’s future plans. While TVS didn’t have a major player in this market space till recently, this has now changed with the new Victor.
Since its launch, sales of the TVS Victor have been steadily increasing, reaching a new high of 19,323 units in August. This number is very close to the 20,000 units monthly target that the company has been gunning for. The Victor’s elegant looks, loaded feature list coupled with the promise of good fuel efficiency push it high up in the value for money scale. Priced at Rs 49,490 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Victor competes with the likes of Honda Dream series, Hero Passion XPro and the Mahindra Centuro.
