-TVS sells 3 lakh units in September
-Registers 17 per cent growth in export markets

TVS Motor Company has announced a 26.7 per cent decline in total sales for September 2019.
The company managed to sell 3 lakh units last month as compared to 4.1 lakh units sold in September 2018. Moreover, sales in the country dropped by 32.6 per cent with a registered sale of 2.43 lakh units in September 2019 as against 3.61 lakh units in the same time last year.
Out of this number, scooters contributed to 1.18 lakh units last month compared to September 2018’s sale of 1.42 lakh units which is a 16 per cent decline. On the other hand, motorcycle sales stood at 1.23 lakh which is a 25.5 per cent dip compared to last year’s 1.66 lakh sales number.
Nevertheless, exports for TVS saw an increase of 17 per cent from 49,560 units in September 2018 to 57,746 in September 2019. TVS also recently entered a distribution partnership in UAE and will offer its entire motorcycle and scooter range there.
The festive season is expected to bring in more sales for the company. Moreover, TVS is also expected to introduce the new Apache RTR 200 4V and the Apache RTR 160 4V soon. It also launched the new Ntorq 125 Race Edition which sports a full-LED headlamp and new graphics. It costs Rs 62,995 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
