The TVS X is a performance electric scooter, which was recently introduced in India. It gets a radical design, first-in-segment features, and a promising powertrain. In this article, let’s take a look at its detailed image gallery.
The TVS X is the production version of the Creon concept, and the company has managed to keep the radical styling intact even in its production guise. It features a vertically-stacked LED headlight, a maxi-scooter-like bodywork with a central spine, and a split seat setup. The tail section uses a minimalistic look with sleek-looking rear side panels.
The TVS X outshines the competition when it comes to features. The top draw is the 10.2-inch TFT touchscreen display that comes with TVS SmartXonnect. The console comes with features like Google Maps navigation, call and SMS alerts, music and YouTube streaming, geo-fencing, shared digital keys, and more.
The TVS X is powered by an 11kW electric motor that is linked to a 4.44kWh battery pack. The scooter offers a riding range of 140km on a single charge and a top speed of 105kmph.
TVS claims that the battery pack on the X can be charged from 0-80% in three hours and 40 minutes via a 950W wall-mount charger.
The TVS X rides on telescopic forks at the front and an offset monoshock at the back. TVS claims that the suspension has been tuned to provide a sporty riding experience, a claim that we will verify when we test the electric scooter thoroughly.
The braking hardware comprises of a 220mm front disc and a 195mm rear rotor. That said, the TVS X is the first electric scooter to come equipped with a single-channel ABS. The X rides on 100/80-section front and 110/80-section rear tyres that are wrapped on 12-inch alloy wheels.
The TVS X is priced at Rs. 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), which not only makes it the most expensive electric scooter in India, but at this price point, the X doesn’t set any benchmarks in the segment.
