- TVS Zest 110 BS6 launched at Rs 58,460
- Expensive by around Rs 7,000 over the BS4 model
- Competes against the Hero Pleasure Plus
TVS has launched the BS6-compliant model of its 110cc scooter, the Zest 110. The company has priced it at Rs 58,460 (ex-showroom, Chennai) which is a premium of around Rs 7,000 over its BS4 counterpart. It is available in two variants – Himalayan High Series and Matte Series while the colour options include red, blue, purple, black, yellow and turquoise blue.
TVS has kept the design of the scooter unchanged and it continues to boast of elegant styling with smooth lines across the bodywork. It comes equipped with a conventional headlamp along with an LED DRL mounted on the front apron and LED tail lamp. For storage, there’s a 19-litre provision under the seat along with a compartment on the front.
What’s changed in the TVS Zest is its 110cc, air-cooled engine which now gets electronic fuel-injection, in place of a carburetor of its BS4 model. The revised motor churns out 7.6bhp which is a drop of 0.3bhp while the torque figure is up by 0.1Nm and stands at 8.8Nm. Riding on 10-inch wheels at both ends, it is suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock. Braking is handled by a drum at both ends with combined braking setup.
In India, the TVS Zest 110 BS6 competes against the Hero Pleasure Plus as both the 110cc scooters are targeted at women riders.
