TVS Motor Company launched the Zest 110 BS6 in India recently, updating all of its scooter line-up to the latest emission norms. So here, we list down everything there is to know about the updated 110cc scooter.
Pricing
TVS has pegged the Zest 110 BS6 at Rs 58,460 (ex-showroom, Chennai). This puts it at a premium of around Rs 7,000 over the BS4 model.
Variants and colours
The Zest 110 BS6 is offered in two variants- Matte Series and Himalayan High. While the Matte Series is available in a choice of five colours which include red, yellow, black, blue, and purple, the Himalayan High is offered in a turquoise blue shade.
Unchanged design
TVS has retained the design and styling of the Zest 110. It comes with a sloping front apron which houses an LED DRL. Meanwhile, the angular rear end comes with an LED tail lamp. However, the headlamp and turn indicators are conventional units. The Zest 110 also offers a storage compartment in the front along with a 19-litre underseat storage.
Revised engine
The scooter’s 110cc, air-cooled engine now benefits from a fuel-injection system to make it BS6 compliant. This revised engine produces 7.6bhp; a marginal decrease of 0.3bhp as compared to the BS4 model. Nevertheless, torque has increased by 0.1Nm to 8.8Nm.
Same cycle parts as BS4 model
The suspension and braking hardware on the BS6-compliant Zest 110 is unchanged. It continues to ride on 10-inch wheels at both ends with telescopic forks up front and a rear monoshock. On the other hand, braking duties are carried out by drum brakes at both ends.
