The Indian two-wheeler market witnessed a variety of new entrants gracing different segments in June. From electric scooters to full-blown ADVs, there was everything we could hope for. Now that the month is almost over, let’s take a look back at the list of new two-wheelers that were launched this month.
Bajaj Chetak 2901
The 2901 is the most affordable variant of the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter. Priced at Rs. 95,998, it looks identical to the rest of the variants but comes with an ARAI-certified range of 123km. Besides the digital console and Bluetooth connectivity, buyers can choose the optional TecPac that enables features such as Hill Hold, Reverse mode, Sport and Economy modes, call and music control, and follow me home lights.
BGauss RUV 350
The RUV 350 is Mumbai-based BGauss’ newest offering. This electric scooter rides on 16-inch alloy wheels which are uncommon among e-scooters. It also gets a TFT screen, 75kmph top speed, and up to 120km of true battery range. However, the underseat storage is measly 15 litres. It has been launched in three variants with prices starting from Rs. 1.10 lakh and going up to Rs. 1.35 lakh. The company is also offering introductory benefits worth up to Rs. 20,000.
2024 Yamaha Fascino S
Yamaha launched the new S variant of the Fascino 125 with an addition of a new ‘Answer Back’ feature. It is available in Matte Red and Matte Black colours priced at Rs. 93.730 and Dark Matte Blue shade which costs Rs. 94,530. The new ‘Answer Back’ function allows the owners to locate their scooter from a distance by activating both side indicators and the horn for close to two seconds. To avail of this feature, the users need to install the ‘Yamaha Scooter Answer Back’ application from Google Playstore/App Store and press the answer back option on the app.
2024 Bajaj Pulsar models
Bajaj launched updated versions of as many as three Pulsar models. The 2024 Pulsar N160 received USD forks, Bluetooth, and ABS modes. It costs Rs. 1.40 lakh. The Pulsar 150, meanwhile, has also been refreshed with a new set of decals while the semi-digital console has been replaced with a fully-digital unit which offers Bluetooth connectivity. Similar updates were received by the new Carbon Fibre trim of the Pulsar 125.
2024 Jawa 350
The 2024 Jawa 350 has been updated within months of being launched in India. The updates are in the form of a new alloy wheel variant and the introduction of four new colours. Alloy wheels bring along the benefit of tubeless tyres that are much easier to repair than tube tyres in the event of a puncture. This will be sold alongside the older spoke wheel variants. Jawa has also introduced three new solid colours- Obsidian Black, Grey and Deep Forest.
BMW R 1300 GS
The BMW R 1300 GS replaced the R 1250 GS in India in June. Powering the bike is a brand new 1,300cc, liquid-cooled, boxer engine. It makes 145bhp and 149Nm and is linked to a six-speed gearbox that uses a shaft drive system. Similarly, the 1300 is a major departure over the 1250 is terms of design, chassis, hardware, and features while being just Rs. 40,000 more expensive! The prices of the R 1300 GS start from Rs. 20.95 lakh.
